I do not know if I am enthusiastic, a collector or just a hoarder, but I love saving little things that have personal memories attached to them, or things that I like the visual properties of. The most common thing I collect is leaflets I find whilst out and about, I go somewhere and come back with a handful of leaflets, I look very odd to passers by when I am standing at a leaflet stand picking one of everything. I particularly like typographic based leaflets and ephemera and I closely examine each example I pick up to see if I can identify what typeface they have used or if their typeface is unique and if so what I like about it. I also display my own work that I have recently done (although it is now a little outdated). I have now run out of room on my wall so I now find other used for things I pick up like collage, or I start to take other things down. the only problem with my 'wall of things' is that it is a wonderful source of inspiration however the position I sit on my bed to do my work as I do not have room elsewhere is facing the opposite wall so I am loosing out on this resource I made for myself, its silly. Perhaps I need to re-think my bedroom layout or just buy a chair I can put in my room which faces the wall.
