I was at lightWater Valley today when in the middle of a ride on the ultimate (the first lift hill), I started thinking about my logo. With all these new influences I have taken in and the more knowledge I gained since starting University I have looked at my logo and I now see the typeface I use does not reflect me in the best way, and it no longer fits with the current design trends. I originally opted for a very rectangular typeface which I thought was wonderfully simple, however I designed some simple round letters which I was inspired by after looking into the font Futura, this was in my first week of University. These letters are lowercase and look a little friendlier but still professional. So I think I will be giving my logo a face-lift in the near future. I need to leave my love for the 50's Swiss Style and Helvetica behind and add a little beauty to the function, as this is what I have recently learnt from reading about German Typographer Erik Spiekermann
